Decent SIM, slow shipping

I got the 30GB Data SIM for my recent Asia trip. The data itself was solid, worked in all the countries I visited without a hitch. Setup was straightforward, and I liked not having to swap local SIMs everywhere. My main issue was shipping; it took 7 days to reach me in California, which was a bit longer than I expected, even with standard shipping. Customer service was responsive when I inquired about the delay, which was a plus. Overall, good value for the data, but plan for shipping time.

Reliable as always

I ordered the Europe Travel SIM again for my trip to France, just like I did last year for Spain. The 24GB Data SIM worked perfectly. Connection was strong and activation was easy, same experience as before. It's why I keep coming back to SmartSimPro. Good to know I can count on them for my travel data needs.

Good data, easy activation

Needed a short-term Data SIM for the UK. Ordered a 6GB Data SIM. Activation was simple. Data worked well.

Good deal for an eSIM

First time trying SmartSimPro and I picked up a 5G Travel eSIM for North America. I was looking for a good price and found a decent offer. The setup was quicker than I thought, just scanned a QR code. It definitely saved me money compared to my usual carrier's roaming rates. Data speeds were fine, didn't notice any slowdowns. Overall, it felt worth the price I paid, especially since I got a little discount as a new customer. Happy with the value.

Anyone tried SmartSimPro compared to Airalo? Trying to decide which one to go with for my Europe trip.

M Melissa Jackson 1 month ago
I've used both. SmartSimPro sometimes has better multi-country bundles for longer trips, but Airalo is good for quick, smaller data packs. Speeds were comparable for me.

SmartSimPro was a bit cheaper for the amount of data I needed for a month in Europe compared to Airalo when I checked. Both worked fine though, so maybe compare prices for your specific plan.

Quick question about the pocket WiFi devices. If I get one, how easy is it to send back if it's not working or something?

S Sam Clark 1 week ago
I haven't returned a device myself but I think their policy lets you return within a certain number of days if it's faulty or not what you expected. Probably worth checking their site for the exact details.

Returns for devices should be fine, I remember seeing that in their FAQs. Just make sure to keep all the packaging.

how long does shipping take for a physical SIM card to California? need it before my flight next week.

A Abigail Turner 1 month ago
Depends on what shipping option you pick at checkout. Standard can be a few days, but they usually have express too if you're in a hurry.

Mine arrived within 3-5 business days to LA with standard shipping. If your flight is next week, you might want to consider expedited shipping just to be safe.

Does anyone know if SmartSimPro is one of those sketchy sites or are they legit? Saw an ad but never heard of them.

J Jacob Jones 1 month ago
They're legit, used them for a Europe trip last year. No issues, data worked fine.

Totally legit. I've bought a few eSIMs from them for different trips and haven't had any problems. Customer service was helpful when I had a question about my data plan once too.

Are there ever any student discounts for these travel SIMs? About to study abroad and need to save cash.

E Elizabeth 1 month ago
Yeah, sometimes they do! I think you usually have to verify your student status through some portal or just sign up for their newsletter, they announce those kinds of deals there.

Keep an eye out, especially around big travel times like summer. They often have specific student promotions then.

I'm heading to Japan and South Korea, does the 'Asia Travel SIM' cover both or do I need separate ones?

A Anthony A. 1 month ago
It should cover both! I got an Asia one for Thailand and Vietnam and it worked in both countries without needing to do anything extra.

M Mary Rivera 1 month ago
Check the product description for sure, but usually, those regional SIMs cover a bunch of countries in that area. Japan and Korea are pretty standard for 'Asia' plans.

Can I use a first-time customer discount AND a referral code together? Trying to stack savings.

J Justin W. 2 weeks ago
Nah, usually it's just one code per order. Most places are like that.

A Adam D. 2 weeks ago
Pretty sure they only allow one promo code at checkout. You'll probably have to pick which one gives you the better deal.

Hey, thinking about getting an eSIM for my trip to Italy next month. Does anyone know how fast these eSIMs activate once you buy them?

B Brian T. 2 weeks ago
Mine was pretty quick. Got the email with the QR code almost instantly after purchase, then scanned it and it just worked. No fuss.
5
B Brian Anderson 2 weeks ago
Yeah, same here. Just make sure your phone is actually compatible with eSIMs first, that's the main thing. Activation itself is pretty seamless.
